Carmen Smith is a dedicated Executive Assistant to Pastor JP Maddox, bringing over 14 years of experience in Human Resources, particularly with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Holding an MBA in Human Resources Management and Development, Carmen combines strategic insight with a passion for supporting the church’s mission.
In her role, Carmen provides comprehensive executive-level support, including managing Pastor Maddox’s schedule and communications, coordinating meetings, and serving as a liaison with church members and external contacts. She also composes and prepares correspondence on behalf of the Pastor and the church, ensuring clear and effective communication across all platforms. Carmen serves as Armor Bearer to Pastor Julie, assisting in her ministry efforts and logistical needs with compassion and discretion.
With a strong background in project management—having led projects such as the gospel musical stage play Looking for Jesus—and as a certified Green and Yellow Belt in Six Sigma, Carmen is skilled in process improvement and organizational efficiency. Her role is instrumental in keeping operations smooth and aligned with the church's goals.
